What is VIBE?
The Virtual Information Bridge to Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (VIBE) is a portal providing online users up-to-date industry information. You can create a MyVIBE account to customize the information displayed on your pages. For instance, you may want to see the latest vehicle fuel economy information while keeping tabs on renewable energy incentive programs in California. With MyVIBE, tailoring information to suit your needs is easy!
What is a gadget?
A gadget is a miniature web application that offers relevant, updated content. Gadgets can be viewed on other customizable websites such as iGoogle and MySpace.
What can I access?
If you have a MyVIBE account, you can customize your own MyVIBE pages with the information you want on them. Additionally, you may have access to hidden pages that are not seen by the public. If you think you should have access to one of these pages but do not see it, please contact us.
How should I explore VIBE?
The VIBE website is constantly changing as information is being updated and new views of information (gadgets) are being created. Check back frequently for new information in pages, or create a MyVIBE account and click "Find Gadgets" to find information relevant to you! If you do not want to create an account, you can still browse the website and stay up-to-date on industry information.
Why are the titles of some gadgets underlined?
Gadgets are miniature version of other websites and data sources. Some gadgets have an underlined title which will take you to the website or data source responsible for the gadget content.
How do I create an account?
Upon visiting VIBE for the first time, the home page will have a Sign In or Create Account gadget. Select the Create Account hyperlink and you will be brought to a page to create an account. Fill out the information requested on the page.
What are the benefits of having an account?
The benefits to having a VIBE account allows you to customize information on your MyVIBE private pages, be able to access these private pages from any computer, and stay up to date on the latest industry information.
I forgot my password!
If you have forgotten your password, click the Forgot Password hyperlink and you will be asked to enter you email account and a new password will be emailed to you.
What is MyVIBE?
MyVIBE contains private pages that only you can see. You are in complete control of what gadgets go on what pages, so that you can customize the information in a way that makes sense and helps you meet your business needs.
How do I find and add gadgets to my page?
The Find Gadgets hyperlink brings up a window that allows one to search for a particular or all the gadgets supported in VIBE. Clicking on the title will allow you to add that gadget to your private pages in the MyVIBE section.
What is the Public Page?
When you are browsing your MyVIBE pages, the Public Page link returns you to the public website.
What does the Welcome Drop Down menu do?
The Welcome drop down box allows you to access and update your account information.
